Obituary for Mark Patrick Jones
Mr. Mark Patrick Jones, 70, beloved spouse of the late Thomas Dooley, died Sunday August 11, 2019 at his home in Kennebunk, ME.
Born in Malden, MA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Irene (Weislik) Jones. He was raised and educated in Middleton, MA and attended Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA.
After working as a buyer for Selber Brothers in Shreveport, LA, Mark returned to New England and continued his career in retail clothing, including many years at Macys. He was a lover of the arts and entertainment, an avid woodworker and an antique collector.
A devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Surviving him is his son, Christopher Jones and his wife, Stephanie as well as grandsons, Timothy and Brendan of Trophy Club, TX, his brother, Jeffrey Jones and his wife, Deborah of Middleton, MA and sister Judith Kuypers of Carrier, MS as well as four nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew, Adam Jones.
His graveside service will be held at Oakdale Cemetery, Maple Street, Middleton, MA on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation - www.parkinson.org.
