Obituary for Felicia Ann Bundy (Wolski)

Felicia Ann Bundy, 93, recently of Kennebunk and formerly of Palm City FL, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her residence in Kennebunk following a period of failing health.

Felicia was born at home on December 9, 1925 in Springfield, VT, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Dziewaltowksi Wolski, and attended schools in Vermont. She furthered her education by attending the University of Vermont, where she received her nursing degree.

It was during her time at UVM that she met her future husband, Edward S. Bundy, who was attending UVM Medical School.

Felicia was employed as an Operating Room Nurse with several hospitals until she and Edward began their family, at which time she focused her care on her children, while in addition assisting her husband in his medical office. She was also an active volunteer nurse for Bloodmobile.

She and Edward resided in Cheshire, Connecticut for almost thirty years. Upon his retirement as Chief of Emergency Medicine at Meriden-Wallingford Hospital, they settled in Palm City, FL, where Felicia became a near twenty year volunteer with the local hospice organization there. When she “retired” from her service at age 88, she was acknowledged as the longest serving hospice volunteer in the community.

Felicia enjoyed music and dancing, being in the garden, fishing with her husband on their boat “Gusto” and spending time with her family. She was especially thrilled to have three granddaughters and three great grandchildren.

Moving to Kennebunk to be closer to her family, she most recently has resided at Huntington Common. Felicia’s family wishes to thank her wonderful caregivers at Huntington Common and members of the Northern Lights Hospice Staff for the kind, compassionate and highly professional care they so diligently and gently provided to her.

Felicia is predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward S. Bundy, MD. Their marriage was one of 54 happy years.

Survivors include her son E. Scott Bundy of Littleton, MA and Kennebunkport, her daughter Darcie Ann Bundy and husband Kenneth P. Cohen of Washington DC and Kennebunkport, three granddaughters Tess Bundy, Arianna Bundy, and Devon Faiella, and three great grandchildren, Hugo Regueiro Bundy, Esme Cloetingh, and Nash Faiella.

A private family service is planned for later this summer.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Northern Lights Hospice, 50 Foden Rd., So. Portland, Maine 04106 in Felicia’s memory.
