Condolence: Jay, I am so deeply saddened by the news of Jim's passing. There are no words that can take away the pain of losing a loved one at such a young age. I will forever remember Jim's infectious smile, happy disposition and devotion to his family and friends. But what I will remember most is the deep respect and love that the two of you shared for one another. Hold on tight to the wonderful memories and know that we all love you and your family. RIP Jim. Condolence: Jay, I have no words to express the amount of sympathy I am feeling for you and your family. It doesn't seem real. May God bless you and carry you during this time. I think Dave Sartory put it well when he said the two of you were like one. As individuals and a couple you have always spread an enthusiastic joy.

Condolence: Jay -- my sincere condolences as I was so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Needless to say, word spread quickly among all our Andover classmates and we all think of the two of you as one. There are far too many thoughts and happy, funny memories for just this space here -- and I hope to share someday with you and the rest of your family. Until then, know that you are all very much on my mind today and tomorrow, and have been throughout the week. It was such a genuine pleasure to have seen as much of you and Jim as I did over the years since High School -- thru all the Reunions you faithfully organized and a few other choice Weddings and celebrations we attended. And the one great constant was your love for one another whether as sweethearts, husband and wife, and then parents. It always inspired me. Love, "Cigar"

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to the Dowe family. I worked with Jim over 10yrs at Kennebunk Savings. As a float teller I got to see Jim at many locations and when he entered the building with his bright smile and "How's it going" greeting it made everyones day. We had an on going joke that I would have a "to-do" list at each branch for him and I will miss teasing him about how many items were on those lists. Jim will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with the Dowe family.

Condolence: Dear Jay and the Dowe Family, You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Jim was one of my closest friends in high school when we first met trying out for soccer. He being the goalie and I being defense. I can't think of too many days or weeks when Jim and I were not out doing something together. Ice hockey on the ponds, ski or beach road trips, skipping school, and so much more. I wish i could be with all of you to share some of those stories. I especially remember the summer he and I first lived in Kennebunkport in an attic in this old house. It was so hot in the summer we could not go in there to sleep until well after 2am. we'd be out all night just waiting to try and go to sleep. He also taught me how to skim board with Dave Marsden. We used this round piece of plywood to skim the beaches. talk about old school tech - we would just lug that hunk of wood all day long to skim the beach as it soaked up more water. we would just ride that for hours. My love to you all, Paul Reichert

Condolence: Words cannot express the loss of such a great person here in our community. I had known Jim since I started at Kennebunk Savings more than 8 years ago. Not a day went by that Jim did not brighten someone's day. A lot of times it was mine, We worked together on several projects and Jim was the best. I will sorely miss our conversations, inside jokes, and general good times we had at work. God is gaining a great angel up there in heaven.
