Obituary for Arthur C. "Buddy" Lank Jr.
Arthur C. “Buddy” Lank, Jr., 88 years and a life-long resident of Kennebunk, passed away at his home on February 22, 2019.
Buddy was born in Biddeford, ME on May 25, 1930, the son of Arthur C. and Helen (Stevens) Lank, Sr. He married his childhood sweetheart, Shirley Jean Knight on July 4, 1952.
Buddy was a plumber in his younger years. He was the master of small engine repair. He was the go-to person when anyone needed help with their lawn mowers, snowmobiles, and outboard motors – and if you needed a part, Buddy most likely had it! He had a love for metal detecting. He spent many hours searching around old homesteads and long the Kenenbunk beaches. Buddy enjoyed his time hunting and fishing.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Lank; a brother Jim Lank and grandsons Daryl Tripp and Mark Lank.
He is survived by his children, Linda Tripp and husband Charles of Lake Wales, FL, Wesley Lank, Bruce Lank and his wife Nancy, Bonnie Bernier and her husband Doug, Mark Lank and his wife Wendy, all of Kennebunk, and David Lank and his wife Jennifer of Springvale, ME; his grandchildren Charles Tripp of Avon Park, FL, Barbra Lank of Hollis Center, ME, Gary Lank of Waterboro, ME, Amanda Bernier of Kennebunk, ME, Robert Bernier of North Berwick, ME, Danielle Mallar of Kennebunk, ME and Kyle Lank of Springvale, ME.
