Kennebunkport, ME Eleanor A. Scribner, 90, of Goose Rocks Beach, Kennebunkport, ME, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco after a short battle with cancer. She was born October 27, 1927 in Dover, NH. Eleanor graduated from Melrose High School, MA, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Simmons College. She was married to Robert J. Scribner in 1950, and they celebrated 53 years together before his death in 2003. Eleanor, affectionately known as “Booey” to many, was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed entertaining family and her many friends. Among her many interests were reading, cooking, working in her garden, and golfing. She is survived by her three children, Susan Jaccoma, Robert Scribner and wife Claire Julian, Joy Wallingford and husband Brian; her grandchildren Brooke Jaccoma Stratford, Christopher Kellett, Andrew Jaccoma, William Kellett and Samuel Scribner; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Anthony, Ethan and Charlie. There are no visiting hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at South Congregational Church, 2 North Street, Kennebunkport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name are encouraged to: SMHC Cancer Center and Blood Disorders, 26A West Cole Road, Suite 102, Biddeford, ME 04005.
