Obituary for Caroline Mae Perkins

Caroline Mae Perkins, 83 years, of Wells, died September 27, 2018 at the Barron Center in Portland, ME.
Caroline was born August 6, 1935 in York, ME, a daughter of Roy and Lucy (Snow) Perkins. She grew up in Wells and graduated from Wells High School. Caroline worked as an aide at the Head Start Program working to help children with special needs get a better start in life. She also worked as a nurse’s aid in helping counsel children with mental health disabilities.
Caroline had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling funny stories. She is well remembered and missed by the staff at the Barron Center. She loved to get in her car and go gallivanting. Growing up near the sea, she always enjoyed the ocean.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was predeceased by her brother, Roy M. Perkins, Jr. and her sisters, Judy Billows and Anne Bernal.
Caroline is survived by her son, Michael Perkins of Arundel; her granddaughter, Ellie Perkins of Kennebunk; her sister, Jane Murphy, of NH; her brothers, Carl Perkins of Arundel, Richard Perkins of Ogunquit and William Perkins of Wells; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Ocean View Cemetery in Wells, ME.
