Obituary for Anya Kroyer Karlsson
Anya Kroyer Karlsson, 22, of Kennebunk, died Thursday afternoon, September 20, 2018 at Maine Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born in Portland on December 29, 1995, the daughter of Katrin Borde Kroyer and Gudbjorn Karlsson. Anya grew up in Kennebunk, graduating from Kennebunk High School, Class of 2014.
Anya was a free spirit, fun loving, and very happy young lady. Her ever present smile would light up a room and served as a beacon for anyone to draw near. Kind, considerate and very giving, she had a very warm personality and sharp wit.
Anya loved all things outdoors, spending time with friends, cutting hay with her step-father Larry, and running any farm machinery.
Anya is survived by her mother and step-father, Katrin Borde Kroyer and Larry McIntire of West Kennebunk; her loving sister Nika Kroyer Karlsson and husband Jack Graves of Arundel; her niece, Unni Graves; her step-mother Julia Karlsson of Newport, ME; along with many, many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martha’s Church, 30 Portland Road, Kennebunk.
