Obituary for Maxine H. York (Hussey)
Maxine H. York, 86 years, of Rochester, NH died February 2, 2016 at Clipper Harbor in Portsmouth, NH.
Maxine was born June 14, 1929 in Rochester, NH a daughter of Walter and Katherine (Carty) Hussey. She graduated High School in Somersworth, NH and worked for many years at General Electric in Somersworth. She enjoyed reading, Bingo, sewing and collecting dish sets. Maxine enjoyed helping friends and family. After retiring from General Electric, she worked part time at Walmart.
Maxine is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cathy A. Carty of Rochester, NH; her sons, Tom York of Rochester, NH, James York and his wife, Traci, of Durham, NH and Stephen York and his wife, Carol, of Ackworth, GA; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 6-8 pm on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Laing-Bibber Funeral Home, 36 Rochester Street, Berwick, ME. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 71 Lowell Street, Rochester, NH. Interment will follow in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick, ME.
