The loss of a mother can be difficult. Time will heal the pain. June will be in our prayers as she takes the next step on her journey.

June, with her ever-present smile was a joy to be around and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will truly be missed by her friends at Webhannet Golf Club.

Flip Harrington and Soo Whiting
We were living on Hendrick's Isle, Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the early 1980's. Soo went to an aerobics class nearby and stood next to an elegant white haired woman. The regular conversation started, where are you from? are you married etc. We discovered that June and Soo were both bird banders, June knew Brian Harrington Flip's brother who worked at the Manomet Bird Observatory (the called). Flip, Soo, June and Bob became good friends, birded CBC in Ft. Lauderdale and the Keys and spent time birding in Florida. We will miss June, she was a fine woman, an excellent birder and a dedicated bander.

She taught us much more than "birding" - she showed us that it is possible always to be in the springtime of our lives. Her cheerful positive outlook brightened my day every time I saw her. Laudholm will not be the same without her.

The Wells Reserve at Laudholm was truly blessed to have such a wonderful person dedicate so many hours to the organization and its many feathered friends. June was one of a kind and she will be dearly missed.

June was an amazing lady who taught so many adults and children about birds and in doing that, showed how important it is to have a passion. She will live on, as those lucky enough to have known her remember her every time a bird flies by.
