Marilyn Ethel  Daggett-Cote
Kennebunk - Marilyn E. Daggett-Cote, 84 yrs., a resident of Kennebunk, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME after a brief illness.
She was born in Kennebunk on March 1, 1934 a daughter of Edward Hoque and Lena M. (Garnett) Hill and her step father Roland P. Hill who raised her.
She graduated from Kennebunk High School.
Marilyn was married to Frederick M. Daggett for many years and together raised a large family.
Marilyn was employed as head of housekeeping for Kennebunkport Inn and Village Cove Inn both of Kennebunkport for many years.
She enjoyed knitting, cooking, traveling with her children to Florida, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Marilyn is survived by her three sons: Anthony (Tony) Daggett and his wife Lisa of West Kennebunk, Roland Daggett and his wife Prima of Lyman, and Mark Daggett of Kennebunk; three daughters: Kimberly King and her husband Ronald of Lyman, Lisa Philbrick and her companion Tom Rouillard of Arundel, and Nicole Brooks Sharp and her husband Shawn of Port Orange, FL; her step children Kendrick Daggett and Faith Daggett both of Kennebunk , Thomas Daggett of Kennebunkport and Ellen Cochran of Waterboro, a brother Edward Hogue of Acton; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a cousin Methel “Mickey” Thompson of FL; and her special friend, Richard Lavache of Saco, ME.
Memorial visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street Kennebunk, ME where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Chapel with Reverend Burton Howe officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery Kennebunk, ME.
Should friends desire, memorial donation may be made to the Animal Welfare Society, PO Box 43, West Kennebunk, Maine 04094 in Mrs. Daggett-Cote’s memory.
