Emmons

Condolences

Condolence From: Amy Natale Bennett
Condolence: Mark's passing has already left many heavy hearts throughout the Kennebunks (and beyond). Although we will no longer see Bear making his way into town for his cup of coffee, we should all make an effort to give a friendly wave when passing by Bear's home. I know my kids & I will when we come back to visit.

Condolence: For the Emmons family: I hope these messages give you an idea of how many people in town cared about Mark. I am thankful that he lived in a community where he was able to live the way that he chose to. We will miss him

Condolence: I have sat with bear and complained about life stuff . He would say to me you can breath, look at the trees, sky and the sun, think about those things he touched my heart. You left a kind mark on my life.

Condolence: Despite never meeting you, your life left a strong impact on me and clearly the community's. I would think of you at night as i got into my bed and hoped you were warm enough in yours. You were in my prayers then,as you are now. God bless you Bear.

Condolence: I wonder if you knew how many of us pondered your plight. I saw you almost daily making your way down Summer Street to "Cumbys" for your coffee. I often wondered if you were cold, lonely, hot, hungry. My children all knew who you were but held a quiet respect for you despite your unique journey in this world. RIP, Bear.

Condolence: I am sorry to hear about Bear. I remember him being very quiet and shy. I hope he found peace. I am very proud to say that I come from a town that has heart. That tries to look out for its own that are not as fortunate. People cared.

Condolence: We probably saw Mark (Bear) more than any other Kennenebunk resident as he walked past our home twice a day and we would receive an occasional nod. May he rest with the righteous in a place of peace, happiness, and light. May his memory be eternal.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. May the 'God of all comfort' be with you during this difficult time. I have personally found comfort in the promise at 1 Corinthians 15:26 where it states that very soon 'death will be brought to nothing'. Then, we have the prospect of being reunited with our loved ones right here on Earth (John 5:28,29). I truly hope this brings you comfort and peace. With deepest sympathies, Gwen and family.

Condolence: Mark "Bear" will be missed. I used to work at the Landing Store and he would come in for coffee almost daily, no matter the weather. He was such a quiet gentle soul who had struggles that he kept locked in his heart. I hope he is at peace.

Condolence: Marc, We use to love seeing you strutting down the street into Cumberlandfarms everyday for your coffee. You always had a spring in your step. I enjoyed the short conversation we had. I'm sorry that your life was so hard. I will think of you often. You will be missed.
