Obituary for Corrine Ann Ryll

Corrine Ann  Ryll
BERWICK ME. Corrine Ann Ryll, 81, a resident of Berwick and former longtime resident of Leominster, MA, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 at her residence following a brief illness.

Corrine was born December 19, 1935 in Leominster, the daughter of Elton and Lila Wood Burchstead, and is a graduate of Leominster High School, class of 1952.

She worked her entire career in food service, working 32 years at the 1761 Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster MA, where she was the food and beverage manager, before moving to Berwick in 1989. She continued her career in the restaurant industry, working as the manager of Valley’s Steakhouse in Portsmouth, and the Gateway Restaurant in Somersworth, NH until her retirement.

Corrine was a member of the Pilgram Congregational Church in Leominster, the Rainbow Girls and Order of the Eastern Star in Leominster.

Corrine is predeceased by her longtime companion, Raymond Carvahlo, who died March 12, 2017, and two brothers, Karl and Kenneth Burchstead.

Survivors include her children, James (Jimmy) Ryll and his wife Laura of Weathersfield, VT, Larry Ryll and his wife Nancy of Leominster, MA, Cheryl Cochran and her husband Bill of Wells, ME, and Candi Hughes and her husband Gary of Holly Lake, TX, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to gather 11 AM Tuesday, October 3 at Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main St, Leominster MA, for a graveside service at Corrine’s family lot.
